The conversion of the derelict area previously used for woodworking, into a classroom offering space for 45 more students at Luyobolola Community School, has been completed.
It required an investment of £1,400 which isn’t a huge amount of money to raise but the result and benefit is huge!
We were thrilled by the many generous donations from our supporters, in particular the Rotary Club, Salesian College, Smartphones and our own fundraising team.
Forever resourceful the school also managed to improve other areas, even painting the perimeter fencing.
“On behalf of Luyobolola teaching staff….I want to really thank Share the Light for the donation. It was timely in the sense that it came when we needed it most as we had inadequate learning space.
We are really grateful. I feel humbled and honoured because without this help from Share the Light this school would not have been the way it is, the donations and assistance has facilitated the smooth running of the school in a greater way” Head Teacher
Warning……this video contains the sound of happy children, it may be a bit of a challenge to hear the teacher in charge of the project!
